“Fanciful Curricula Vitae” of Persons whose names became sources of pseudonymous ‘Pen-Names’
Dr Eisenbart [grey-beard]: (see <http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Doktor_Eisenbarth#Literatur>); A famous physician of the late 1600s, much beloved of graduate students in European universities. In a classic beer-drinking song, in the German language, high-lighted in satirical verses, his name became a symbol of the challenges and satisfactions of a career in medical science, research and caring for people in distress. Use as a “pen-name” (pseudonym) was a tribute to the dedication and perseverance of researchers and doctors despite incredible adversity in former and recent times, overcoming large scale deficiencies of the understanding of practical reality by the public and the official establishments.
Herr (Dr?) Til Eulenspiegel [Owl seeing itself in a mirror // A person holding up a mirror reflecting to the readers the unattractive features of their own country-men]: (see Wikipedia); Til E. in a long and varied career engaged in many occupations, and might well have briefly taken the role of a Philosopher (Ph D) or doctor in his era. Among ordinary people (and the elite with a sense of humor), Til E. was a heroic “whistle-blower” (at considerable personal risk) because he pointed out abuses of the ordinary people and hypocrisy of the “powers that be” of his times. His social importance to the general population and the reformers of the elite and upper class were often misrepresented in US schools as ‘merely’ the pranks of a delinquent scoundrel- (which was also probably the way he was described by the contemporary teachers, rich greedy merchants, academics, incompetent religious leaders and corrupt guild-masters of his days.) Till E later became a useful ‘pen-name’ for modern persons commenting about corruption, bullying, incompetence, possible hoaxes and frauds of the so-called ‘powers that be’ and unelected incompetent attempted dictators of modern ethics, morale, morals and speech.
Dr Eisenhosen [Iron-pants]: Google search did not identify a historic or modern person of that name, thus the name apparently was an innovative pen-name indicating perhaps a person who preferred their effort be accepted or rejected on merit, without appeals to alleged or real academic degrees, gender, religious, political, social, society or Internet affiliations or beliefs.
